Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Here is exactly what happens.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in credentials and any linked Microsoft identity. You will not be able to sign in again.
- Your name and email address are removed from every workspace you belonged to.
- Your registered devices, so you stop receiving notifications.
What is kept, and why
- Tasks, comments and messages you created stay in your workspace, shown as “Former member”. They are your organisation’s business records, and removing them would delete other people’s project history.
- Security audit records are retained as required for your organisation’s compliance obligations.
Before you can delete
If you are the only administrator of a workspace, or the only owner of a project, deletion is blocked until you hand those over — otherwise your team would be locked out of resources only you can manage.
